Welcome to Mrs. Schwander's Webpage!

I am proudly starting my 22nd year in education.  My teaching background includes 7 years in the General Education classroom and 10 years in Special Education.  This is my 5th year at DWE as a Reading Intervention teacher.  I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  I have been happily married for 26 years and have 2 beautiful boys, ages 17 and 22.  My hobbies include traveling, wine tasting, boating and floating the river, watching  baseball games, watching live music, dancing and walking my 2 dogs!
