Welcome!

My name is Mary Cheslock, and I am beyond excited to have you in my class this year! It's going to be an amazing year full of learning and fun. I’m excited to learn from and teach these brilliant minds who will be joining my class this year!  

Here are some fun facts about me! I graduated from Deer Park High School, then attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake and graduated with my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified as an EC-6 Generalist teacher and have my ESL certification. Currently, I am going back to school for my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist Certification. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to teach 4th grade at Deepwater Elementary this year. 

When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time with my family, read fun stories, and watch my favorite TV shows.

A few of my favorite things are:

Food: Anything Spicy 

Drink: Hot Chocolate, Lemonade

Candy: Reese’s (Those trees, pumpkins, and eggs have my heart!)

Store: Target, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Kohl’s 

Movie: Hercules, and The Emperor's New Groove (Really any Disney or Star Wars Movie!)
